Tunstall Wood

(Average user rating4 unrated 4/5)

About Tunstall Wood

Tunstall Forest is also located in the Suffolk Coastal belt known as The Sandlings. It consists of coniferous plantations, broadleaved belts and heathland areas which link up with both Tunstall and Blaxhall Common. These areas are very good for ground nesting birds such as the Nightjar and Woodlark. Tunstall is very popular with walkers, cyclists and horseriders alike. It is also where we hold twice yearly Motorcycle Enduros which are organised by Woodbridge & District Motorcycle Club.

How to get there:

Wickham Market is the nearest town or village.

From Ipswich, follow the A12 north. Turn off on the roundabout which is signposted to Orford. Follow the A1152 (signposted Snape). When you come into Tunstall village follow the B1078 which takes you through Tunstall Forest.
