Hamsterley

Colour rating today: turned golden turned golden
I defy anyone to find a more beautiful spot
Than Hamsterley forest when autumn comes calling
The trees, once green, now pulsate with colour
Nature's final fling before the leaves start falling
The face starts to glow and the eyes shine with delight
Or, if only this picture we could forever capture
The colours, the light, the majesty of the trees
Fill our hearts and senses with such rapture
Such a time, and the colours, cannot last
This is nature preparing for her sleep
So walk through this jewel of landscapes
And make sure the memories you keep!

How to get there:
