Recreation at Sika Trail
 

Enjoy the Scenery of Wareham Forest on foot or by bike. The trail follows tracked routes through the forest and heath. It us generally flat with a couple of inclines and is suitable for cyclists and walkers of all ages and abilities.

How to get there:

Sika Trail is in Wareham Forest which is part of Dorset Woodlands. Wareham is the nearest town or village.

Take the Bere Regis road from Wareham. Travel for about 1 mile, as you leave the outskirts of Wareham look for the sign to the Sika Trail Car Park on the right-hand side. Trail starts from the car park., The Sika Cycle Trail can also be accessed from Northport at the northern end of Wareham.

There is also a 2 mile self-guided walk around the forest that can be accessed from the car park

HorseRiding.gif If you wish to ride on Forestry Commission tracks in Ringwood or Wareham you are required to have a Forestry Commission Riding Permit.
Prices are :
£45.00 for a years permit.
£75.00 for a commerical permit per year , per horse

Wildlife Activities The Sika Cycle Trail takes its name from the sika deer found in this forest and throughout the county. Roe deer also live in the forest.
