Moors Valley Country Park

(Average user rating4 unrated 3.7/5)

Home to the famous playtrail with its oversized wooden woodland play structures, this 750 acre site has loads to offer for everyone from families looking for fun to those wanting a more sedate day out. There is cycle hire, orienteering, a narrow gauge steam railway, a golf course, a visitor centre with restaurant and a country shop as well as miles of gravel and dirt tracks for easy exploration.

Come and live life adventurously at Go Ape.

For further information please visit the Moors Valley Country Park website.

How to get there:

Moors Valley Country Park is part of Dorset Woodlands. Ashley Heath is the nearest town or village.

Take the Ashley Heath turning off the A31 just West of Ringwood (Moors Valley Country Park is signposted with a brown tourism signpost). Go through Ashley Heath and the park entrance is situated on the right just as you come out of the village.

Unfortunately no bus takes you to the entrance of the park, but the X34 bus from Bournemouth and Ringwood takes you to Ashley Heath. From there it is a 1/2 mile walk to the visitor centre.

Ive been comming here for years and love it. My Brother and his family from Barnsley use it on their way to holidays in Cornwall but since he has seen plans for a landfill in purple haze he has said he will avoid the area. Big Shame for something so wonderfull and it is used by the entire Country!!!!

Moors valley is a great day out for a family. There is an adventure playground and a "play trail" which is a walk through the woods with wooden climbing structures in the shape of animals. Parking is expensive if you aren't using all the facilities on offer but there are no admission charges so actually represents great value for money.
