East Hill

(Average user rating: 3 Stars 3/5)

About East Hill

Above Ottery St Mary the woodlands of East Hill stretch out for some four miles. Stunning views westward over the Otter Vale are assured from the many vantage points along the ridge.

A road runs the length of East Hill allowing you to enjoy some of the scenery as you drive, but we recommend getting out of your car to get the most out of your visit. Also popular with horse riders, cyclists, joggers and local orienteering groups, it is an ideal place for a weekend walk.

How to get there:

Ottery St Mary, Honiton, and Sidmouth are the nearest towns or villages.

From the A30 at Honiton join the A375 going south towards Sidmouth. At the Hare and Hounds pub turn right, then after 1-2 miles take the first turn left.
