East Hill

(Average user rating4 unrated 4/5)

Above Ottery St Mary the woodlands of East Hill stretch out for some four miles. Stunning views westward over the Otter Vale are assured from the many vantage points along the ridge.

A road runs the length of East Hill allowing you to enjoy some of the scenery as you drive, but we recommend getting out of your car to get the most out of your visit. Also popular with horse riders, cyclists, joggers and local orienteering groups, it is an ideal place for a weekend walk.

is the nearest town or village.

Superb, with the most amazing views across the valley, and on a clear day across to Dartmoor. Local accommodation was great, found on http://www.staysouthwest.com
