Plym Car Park

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

The welcoming tree-lined car park is a good place to start your exploration of Cann Woods, accommodating up to 30 vehicles and offering designated parking bays for disabled forest users.

From here you can access the all ability trail to the fascinating Iron Age fort of Boringdon Camp, stroll with your dog along the dedicated dog track or begin the waymarked walking trail which winds its way deep into the wood. If all this sounds too energetic relax with a picnic at one of our all ability picnic tables.

How to get there:

Plym Car Park is in Cann Woods.
By car: Travelling north along the A38 turn off at the exit signposted Plympton. Take the first exit at the first and second mini-roundabouts and follow the road along past Boringdon Hall, Elfordleigh and the Woodside Animal Shelter. The Cann Woods entrance is on the left.

By bike: Follow the Marsh Mills-Clearbrook Sustrans route, and enter Forestry Commission woods at Plymbridge. Please note that cycling is not permitted on the Blue Walk.
Plympton and Plymouth are the nearest towns or villages.
