Visited yesterday. Really impressed, something for every age. Superb (green)walk with fantastic views from top of Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite. Saw 2 birds of prey (not the osprey)and a small rodent of some kind, moved too quick to identify. Fab food and coffee at the cafe and lucky enough to catch a talk at the visitor centre on the nesting osprey. Back in lakes next month for a weeks holiday with my 87 year old mum and older sisters - I've already told them we'll be visiting Whinlatter. I'll be recommending Whinlatter to all my friends and family. Is there an age limit for Going Ape??
