A pleasent car park from which the circular Machell's Coppice Walk starts.

Coniston is the nearest town or village.
OS Grid Reference: SD310952

From Coniston follow the minor road south torwards Spark Bridge along the east side of Coniston Water. The car park is on the left half way down the lake.
