Grizedale Visitor Centre
 

Grizedale Forest Park at Christmas is a great family day out. With festive crafts, christmas tree sales and seasonal food followed by a walk in the evergreen forests start your Christmas at Grizedale.

Christmas tree sales will start on the Saturday 1st December opening daily from 10am - 4pm, Last sales day is Friday 21st December. The best trees always go first so don't leave it too late.

The Forest Shop is stocking a range of decorations, tree stands and other christmas tree accessories as well as many gift ideas

How to get there:

Grizedale Visitor Centre is in Grizedale Forest Park. Hawkshead is the nearest town or village.

By Road:, From the North (unsuitable for coaches):, A591 to Ambleside, leave Ambleside A593 to Langdale/Coniston. First left B5286 to Hawkshead. Bypass Hawkshead follow B5286 south then first right at tourist sign "Theatre in the Forest", follow to Grizedale approx 2 miles., From the South and all coaches:, M6 junction 36 take A591 first exit A590, Barrow follow A590 past Newby Bridge Havethwaite Crossroads, right turn, tourist sign "Grizedale Forest Park", follow signs for Satterthwaite/Grizedale north., By Rail:, Grange over sands to the south and then bus or taxi. Windermere to the east then bus or taxi.
