About Linmere Information Centre

Delamere Forest Park offers a complete day out. The specially marked footpaths and cycle trails are carefully planned to guide visitors around this diverse forest. The staff in our information centre will be able to help you plan your visit to Delamere and also sell a small range of maps and guides to help enhance your day.

Family walking with push chairThe information centre is open every day, from 10 am to 5 pm in the summer and 10 am to 4 pm in the winter, except Christmas Day (closing daily for lunch). Delamere Cafe is adjacent to the information centre and offers a range of quality food and drink for all visitors. There is a bike wash nearby and bike hire, coaching, advice, leadership training & basic maintenance is available from the TRACS centre.

How to get there:

Linmere Information Centre is in Delamere Forest Park. Close to Northwich and Delamere and Linmere are the nearest towns or villages.

Situated approximately 10 miles from the outskirts of Chester and close to the M56. The Forest Park and Visitor centre are well sign posted from the A54, A556, and B5152.

BY RAIL: Delamere station is situated just 5 minutes walk from the Linmere Visitor Centre.

I agree with the comments about parking fees. I'm a local with small children so I don't want to spend all day there... ratehr just half an hour maybe.
Its no wonder that people park cars all along the main road despite the barriers and signs. This is incredibly annoying by the way and it won't be long before someone gets seriously hurt on this road.

we were planning on visiting this weekend for a vistit and a walk - but given the car parking charges are higher than my local NHS trust - dont think we will bother ! - we'll find somewhere else x

the linmere ood is a very peaceful place. i went therewith my nan and we loved it. the only thng that let it down was the fact you had to pay ■3 or the parking wich was ok cos we spent the whole day there. recommended for older peope if thhey like peaceful places
