Visit the new Wendover Woods website by clicking here.

Situated on the northern edge of the Chiltern escarpment Wendover Woods affords spectacular views across the Aylesbury Vale. Within 325 hectares of mixed coniferous and broadleaved woodland you will find plenty to see and do. Either spend an energetic day orienteering and cycling followed by a rewarding drink and substantial slice of handmade cake in our forest cafe. Alternatively take it easy and stroll along the all ability trail to reach the Chiltern's highest point and relax with a picnic. Throughout your visit we hope you will get a chance to see the variety of wildlife. We manage the forest balancing recreation, conservation and timber production.

Go Ape! and take to the trees and speed down zip slides. They’re part of an exciting course of rope bridges, Tarzan swings and crossings; all set up to 120 feet above the forest floor .

For those coming to the Woodland using SatNav, please enter postcode HP22 5NQ and turn right before you pass the golf course onto the Forest Drive.

Parking charges are £1.50 for 2 hours, £3 for 2 to 4 hours and £5.50 for an all day stay.

A new iPhone App for visitors to Forestry Commission sites is also available now. It's easy to use and has a number of features including downloadable trail maps. For more information visit www.forestry.gov.uk/mobileapp

Dear Kathleen, I have tried to call your and another number and have received no reply. I would like more information on the orienteering course as I am interested in bringing my Year 7 & 8 pupils over. Do you provide maps, compasses etc? I look forward to hearing from you.
