A lovely place to walk but not being familiar with the area we got a bit lost. It would really help if there was something to guide your walk or even a map showing the layout of the paths.

Have walked these woods for 30 years. Just wondering why more felling. Are more trees to be planted? Or will spaces be left to naturlise ?

Great, accessible walking on gravel paths plus well sheltered on rainy windy days. Plenty of wildlife to hear and see, and we have recently seen a lot of deer. Excellent for off lead dog walking.

We visited today and heard a number of chiffchaff as well as our first willow warbler of the year. We also saw red kite, a pair of buzzards, primroses, comma and brimstone butterflies.
