Four Falls Trail

About Four Falls Trail

Caves and waterfalls

Take a walk through stunning scenic woodlands to visit 4 impressive waterfalls including Sgwd yr Eira and Sgwd Clun-Gwyn. As you walk towards Sgwd Clun-Gwyn, listen out for their thundering roar before you reach them.

You can also join the Four Falls Trail  from Cwm Porth Brecon Beacons National Park pay and display car park, which sits above the Mellte. Here the river disappears underground into the mouth of Porth yr Ogof - the largest cave entrance in Wales. There is a staffed information point (tel: 01639 722309) and basic toilet facilities on site. Follow the left hand path opposite the car park’s main entrance downstream, along the river’s edge, to join the Trail at Sgwd Clun-Gwyn.

How to get there:

Four Falls Trail can be started from Gwaun Hepste Car Park in Waterfalls which is part of Brecon Beacons National Park Forests. Ystradfellte is the nearest town or village.

Head North from Penderyn on the A 4059. After 2 km turn left towards Ystradfellte. Follow the signs for Waterfalls.
