Cascade Trail

About Cascade Trail

The "Cascade Trail" crosses the footbridge on leaving the station and ascends the valley close to the rushing river. A further bridge is crossed to bring the route back down the valley on the other side of the river along the disussed tramway, past the drumhouse and descending steeply down the Alltwyllt incline back to the station.

How to get there:

Cascade Trail can be started from Nant Gwernol in Abergynolwyn which is part of Dyfi. Abergynolwyn is the nearest town or village.

Take the train on the Tal-y-Llyn railway from any of its stations between Tywyn and Abergynolwyn. Or park in the village of Abergynolwyn and take the short but steep walk to the station from behind the Community Centre/Cafe.
