About Ben Lomond Access Path
Going all the way?
It's around 4 miles (6km) to the summit of Ben Lomond from here. The path is not way-marked, and is steep, rough and muddy in places. Please make sure you are properly equipped before you attempt this walk.
Working in the Woods
We are working here to restore the native woodland habitats and to improve access. This will include the removal of some non-native trees. The results can look a little harsh in the short term but come back in 50 years time and we guarantee a more natural woodland!
How to get there:
Ben Lomond Access Path can be started from Rowardennan in East Loch Lomond Woodland which is part of Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Drymen is the nearest town or village.
From Stirling, follow the A811 to Drymen and then from Glasgow, take the A809.
From Drymen take the B837 for east Loch Lomond and Rowardennan. Rowardennan car park is approximately twelve miles along this road.
