About Pine Ridge
This walk starts from the Pine Ridge car park, which is accessed via the Forest Drive.
From the car park, the route climbs steeply on a path which is firm but also has some loose surface material in places. As the path gains height there are fine views across Loch Drunkie and the surrounding hills. The top section of the path is fairly level before it descends steeply to the Forest Drive and returns to the car park.
How to get there:
Pine Ridge can be started from Pine Ridge car park in Achray Forest which is part of Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Aberfoyle is the nearest town or village.
From Aberfoyle, follow the Dukes Pass north.Take a right turn into the Three Lochs Forest Drive.
There is a charge of 2 pounds per car.
Pine Ridge car park is located within the forest and is only accessible by car when the Three Lochs Forest drive is open.
