Situated in the heart of Achray Forest, this trail gives you a flavour of the variety of habitats that make up a productive woodland. There are recently felled and recently planted areas.
The forest's crop of young and old conifers stand alongside native woodlands. Scots pine and birch are in abundance, but other native trees such as oak, alder, hazel, willow and rowan also add to the rich diversity of the forest.
How to get there:
Creag na H-lolaire can be started from Achray, Forest Drive Exit in Achray Forest which is part of Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Aberfoyle is the nearest town or village.
Follow the Dukes pass north out of Aberfoyle. The car park is situated at the end of the Three Lochs Forest Drive, approximately seven miles north. This access is not signed.
