About Cross Border Route

Visit England for the day on this cross border trail. This trail is not for the faint hearted as it is a 17 mile round trip.

It is ideal for those in search of a real "wilderness experience".

How to get there:

Cross Border Route can be started from Dykecrofts Car Park in Newcastleton Forest which is part of Forests of the Scottish Borders. Newcastleton is the nearest town or village.

From Canonbie or Bonchester Bridge take the B6357, then take the unclassified road at the southern end of Newcastleton village and follow the signs for Dykecrofts.
