An easy walk down by the River Strontian and through the ancient Oakwood.

Along the way, look out for information panels which tell you about the social and environmental background of this woodland.

How to get there:

Ariundle forest walk can be started from Ariundle car park in Ariundle which is part of Sunart Oakwood. Strontian is the nearest town or village.

Cross the bridge over the River Strontian and turn right. Follow the main road for approximately one mile and you will see a Forestry Commission sign on a small road directly on your right.

The car park is 800m ahead on this small road.
