Green Trail

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Green Trail

Rogie Bridge will be closed for 4 weeks whilst a new bridge is erected, however trails remain open. (Updated 23rd May 2012)

Take the footpath that leads behind the toilet block and follow the green waymarkers down as far as the suspension bridge (note Highland Council recommend a maximum of 5 people on the bridge at any one time).

Instead of crossing the bridge, continue up to the second viewpoint above the falls where an information panel gives details of the salmon which are readily seen from here.

Follow the green markers along the west bank of the river, past a 90 degree bend and back to the car park through mixed woodland and another small viewpoint overlooking the river.

How to get there:

Green Trail can be started from Rogie Falls in Torrachilty Forest. Contin is the nearest town or village.

From Contin, take the A835 road west heading for Ullapool, for approximately two miles.

You will see the sign for the Rogie Falls car park beside the road. The car park is on the east side of the A835.
