Red Trail

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Red Trail

This is a short, level trail running through the woodland just beyond the car park.

The path runs from the picnic site through semi-mature larch trees along a forest ride to join a hard track. It then loops back to the car park above the Blackwater River.

This short level trail is easily accessible for wheelchairs and less-abled users.

How to get there:

Red Trail can be started from Contin Forest Walks in Torrachilty Forest. Contin is the nearest town or village.

The car park is less than one mile from the middle of Contin village.

Take the A835 road west from Contin to a point about 200 metres beyond the 30 mph speed limit. At the green Forestry Commission Scotland sign, turn right.

Continue along this road for half a mile past some wooden buildings to the car park.
