About Tollie Path

The Tollie Path is a 'right of way' which runs from the Loch Maree car park through to Tollie Farm which is situated about two miles south of the village of Poolewe.

The first mile or so is through Slattadale Forest before breaking out of the trees onto open moorland to the northwest of Loch Maree. The views to be had from this path on are clear day are some of the finest in Wester Ross.

How to get there:

Tollie Path can be started from Loch Maree Car Park in Slattadale. Kinlochewe and Gairloch is the nearest town or village.

From Kinlochewe, take the A832 road north towards Gairloch. After approximately nine miles, a cattle grid is crossed beside a large Forestry Commission Scotland sign.

Continue for another one and a half miles until a signposted road on the right is reached which leads down to the car park beside the Loch. From Gairloch, take the A832 south and reach another cattle grid after about nine miles.

Continue for another mile to reach the road on the left leading down to the lochside.
