About Mary's Path

Please note, this trail is currently closed due to fallen trees. (Updated 28th May 2012)

The most important account of the clearance of Inniemore by the landowner, Miss Stewart, in 1824 was from a resident called Mary Cameron.

This path is in memory of her and takes a mostly low level route through birch woodland to the edge of the village.

From there you can explore the village on the township paths and return on the same route or on the higher level James' Path.

How to get there:

Mary's Path can be started from Aoineadh Mor in Lochaline. Lochaline is the nearest town or village.

Head north, out of Lochaline. After about three miles, take a left turn towards Kinloch (Teacuis) and travel along the southern shore of Loch Arienas until you see the signs for the car park and historic village on your left.
