Well Path

About Well Path

The trail leads from the carpark and turns left before climbing the stone steps to Clootie Well - a 'cloot' being a piece of rag or cloth.

Tradition dictates that a gift of a cloot is tied to nearby branch. Please respect this ritual and feel free to take part, but please leave only environmentally acceptable gifts!

How to get there:

Well Path can be started from Clootie Well in Littleburn. Munlochy is the nearest town or village.

Clootie is approximately three miles from the Tore Roundabout on the A832 signposted for Fortrose and Cromarty.
