Yellow Trail

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Yellow Trail

Starting at the uppermost Craig Phadrig car park, go through the gate and follow the yellow waymarkers along a hard and dry forest road.

This trail culminates at a viewpoint and picnic table, with widespread views across the Beauly Firth to Ross-shire and the Kessock Bridge.

The footpath is generally level and is therefore suitable for people of all abilities.

How to get there:

Yellow Trail can be started from Craig Phadrig Car Parks in Craig Phadrig. Inverness is the nearest town or village.

From the centre of Inverness, head out towards the west side of the city onto Telford Street, as if making for Beauly.

Cross the Caledonian Canal at Muirton, and at the roundabout beside the Muirton Motel, turn left up King Brude Road. Carry on for half a mile until the traffic lights.

Turn right onto Leachkin Road, go straight ahead at the next roundabout and take the second road on the right (about 300 metres from the roundabout and signposted to Upper Leachkin and Blackpark).

The two Forest Enterprise car parks are on the right hand side of this road as you travel uphill.
