About Blue

The Blue trail follows the green trail to the Stone Maze and the forest road.

From the road follow the blue markers up the hill onto the edge of Knock Farrel hill. It should be noted that the route is not marked along the ridge. Just follow the same route back to the forest carpark.

On top of Knock Farrel is an Iron Age Fort which is a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

How to get there:

Blue can be started from Pond Carpark in Blackmuir Wood. Strathpeffer is the nearest town or village.

The Pond car park is signposted on the north west edge of Strathpeffer village.
