Allt na Criche Walk

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Allt na Criche Walk

The walk climbs steeply beside the Allt na Criche burn with it's pretty waterfall, passing through woodland of different ages and species of trees.

From the forest road along the top of the walk, there are magnificent views over Loch Ness and Fort Augustus. The walk returns along a pleasant, winding track through trees.

How to get there:

Allt na Criche Walk can be started from Allt na Criche Carpark in Port Clair which is part of Great Glen Forest. Fort Augustus, Invermoriston, Drumnadrochit, and Inverness are the nearest towns or villages.

Allt na Criche carpark is adjacent to the A82, just over one mile north of Fort Augustus.

There is a bus service from Inverness and Fort Augustus that stops at the main villages on the route and will also stop on request at sensible stopping places.
