About Through route to St Johns

This is an easy through route which takes you from the car park, across the glen to contour round the hillside. This road gives spectacular views and a feeling of exposure, before dropping down to the A82 at St John's church on the way to Ballachulish.

How to get there:

Through route to St Johns can be started from Glenachulish car park in Glenachulish which is part of Glencoe. Ballachulish is the nearest town or village.

From Fort William and Ballachulish take the A828 west from the roundabout (signposted Oban). A few hundred metres past the Ballachulish Hotel turn left, signposted Glenachulish.

Follow this road for around half a mile to the car park and access to the forest and mountains.
