About The Muckle Walk

A short walk culminating with the amazing viewpoint on the Muckle Hill, overlooking Kippford Bay.

From the top of the hill, follow the path down onto the Jubilee Path which is managed by the National Trust for Scotland.

How to get there:

The Muckle Walk can be started from Jubilee Path in Mark Hill which is part of Forests of the Solway Coast. Rockcliffe, Kippford, and Dalbeattie are the nearest towns or villages.

Follow the A710 from Dalbeattie or New Abbey to Rockcliffe. Park in the village, and follow the track past the Baron's Craig Hotel up to the forest and the start of the walk.

The nearest train station is in Dumfries.
