Follow this short trail for wonderful views of red deer in their natural environment. If it's raining you can now take shelter in our new hide which is located at the viewpoint!
The trail starts from the car park.
Guided tours
Sundays - Thursdays during July and August. Join us on a tour and meet Scotland's largest land mammal face to face! 11am start. Charges apply.
Please arrive in plenty of time, the tour guide will meet you in the car park.
How to get there:
Red Deer Range Trail can be started from Red Deer Range in Galloway Forest Park. Newton Stewart is the nearest town or village.
From Newton Stewart:
Take the A712 signposted New Galloway and follow this road for approx. 8 miles.
From New Galloway:
Take the A712 signposted Newton Stewart and foolow this road for apprx. 8 miles.
