Could you possibly add a map to your site? Scotts may know where this forest is - but foreigners probably dont.

Can anyone tell me when the road is open until?

Anonymous, 25/Sep/2011

Carrick Forest drive is open from end of May to end of October - but check, we have larger operations running there all winter although we try and ensure we are done by May Raiders road is open from start of April through to the end of October. Both are open all day and charges of £2 apply (meters are along the forest drive).

Will I be able to pull off either of these drives with a car and do a spot (one night) of responsible wild-camping, or are they strictly no parking at any time along them? Many thanks.

Martin G, 27/Mar/2011

As long as you don't take your vehicle off the road you should be OK for one night under canvas.
