Lettermore route

About Lettermore route

This short route acts as link from Glengorm to the cycle route through Loch Frisa.

It travels over the farm track from Ballmeanoch on Glengorm Estate to the north end of Loch Frisa. The route has been provided in partnership with Glengorm Estate.

It is one part of the cycle network which takes you out onto the hill land and from which you get fine views of Mull's volcanic scenery. You are surrounded by what looks like layers on a wedding cake but are actually layers of volcanic lava laid down over thousands of years and subsequently eroded away to form what looks like steps on the mountain side.

How to get there:

Lettermore route can be started from Loch Frisa North Car Park in Ardmore. Tobermory and Dervaig is the nearest town or village.

The car park is just off the B8073 Tobermory to Dervaig road at the north end of Loch Frisa. There is parking for about 10 cars
