About Lower loop

This trail is currently closed. (Updated 14th May 2012)

An energetic walk through a woodland containing a wide variety of trees. Excellent viewpoints give panoramic views over Ardmucknish Bay.

How to get there:

Lower loop can be started from Beinn Lora car park in Beinn Lora which is part of Barcaldine. Benderloch is the nearest town or village.

The car park is situated next to Ledaig Motors filling station in the centre of Benderloch on the A828 Oban to Fort William road.

This is the start of two woodland walks with steep climbs but fantastic views over the Lynn of Lorne.

You can park here for access to the open hill and walk to the summit of Beinn Lora.
