About Cat Craig Cycle Loop

This is a circular trail that includes some spectacular views over Arrochar. At about the halfway mark, you are required to dismount to cross over the Prince's Bridge. Beyond this point it is mainly downhill back to the start, with good panoramic views over the Cobbler and Glen Croe.

How to get there:

Cat Craig Cycle Loop can be started from Ardgartan in Ardgartan which is part of Argyll Forest Park. Arrochar is the nearest town or village.

From Glasgow, follow A82 beyond Loch Lomond to Tarbet. Then take the A83 through Arrochar towards the Rest & Be Thankful. Ardgartan Wood is on your left hand side.

14/03/2011 My husband, dog and I did this today,and the views were stunning. We were even lucky enough to bump into some deer on the route! I agree that the loop is long, but well worth it!

Great walk to let the dogs loose and a good walk to do if you are trying to build up to longer and steeper walks

My partner and I did this walk we are fast and experienced walkers. A great walk - slightly slippy in places due to recent rainfall which main areas bit trickier than normal. Great walk - however be warned this is a long 5.5 miles!!! you do begin to wonder if the path - if you start North will ever turn! Visibility over loch long beautiful
