About Langham Engine House Trail
Discover the dark secrets of this once industrious engine house, in use for less than a decade before being dismantled and re-built on another site.
Level and well surfaced, this trail is suitable for all abilities, wheelchairs and pushchairs.
This trail was developed by the West Somerset Mineral Railway Project, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
How to get there:
Langham Engine House Trail can be started from Chargot Car Park in Chargot which is part of Brendon Hills. Luxborough, Dunster, and Minehead are the nearest towns or villages.
From Taunton: take the A358 north towards Watchet, turning off at Bishops Lydeard on to the B3224. Follow this road for approx. 14 miles. You will see Chargot car park on your right.
From Minehead or Tiverton: turn off the A396 at Wheddon Cross on to the B3224. Follow this road for approx. 4 miles. You will see Chargot car park on your left.
