Adventure Cycle Trail

(Average user rating4 unrated 3.5/5)

About Adventure Cycle Trail

At just over double the length of the Family Cycle route the Adventure Cycle Route adds a family trail that explores further afield in the forest.  Linking up with both route 6 (the natinal cycle route) and the Family Cycle route, the Adventrue Cycle route accommodates those looking to spend a morning or afternoon meandering through the forest at a leisurely pace, or for the faster rider the route can easily be completed in 2 hours.

Suitable for all ages and abilities.  The trial is an all weather limestone surface which is rideable year round.  Ideal for tiring the kids out for the afternoon the Adventure Cycle route has a large number of rest stops at approximately every 1.5 miles which provide somewhere to stop for a leisurely picnic.

Maps are available from the Cycle Shop.

The route was horribly signposted. We did about 2km then we were back where we started. It would be a good introduction to mountain biking( from the 2km I rode) if it were better signposted.

This route is great fun. We are quite new to biking and really enjoyed it. Will definately do it again.
