Scartree Trail

(Average user rating4 unrated 3.8/5)

About Scartree Trail

This is 6km red grade trail on unsurfaced single-track, taking in both constructed and natural trails. Roots, climbs and tight single-track set the scene for a short but challenging route.

A section of the wood the cycle trail goes through used to be called Scartree Wood, but this area is now called Adams Wood.

The trail has not been finished yet, but the sections that have been completed are open for the public to use.

We are also currently harvesting in Wakerley wood, please follow any diversion signs.

How to get there:

Scartree Trail can be started from Wakerley Wood Car Park in Wakerley Great Wood which is part of Rockingham Forest. Stamford is the nearest town or village.

Wakerley Great Wood is accessed from the A43, approximately 9 miles east of Corby, and 6 miles south west of Stamford. Follow the minor road off the A43 towards Wakerley village, and the car park is on the left.

User Comments

This trail cuts across all the footpaths I have walked most days and I have been nearly knocked over by cyclist who refuse to slow down. Please let me know your coming and then wait for me to get out of your way and you and I will be able to enjoy the walk together.
