About The Descent Line

For safety reasons cyclists using the unofficial cleared lines in Norwood Edge please access the forest from Stainburn Moor car park.

A fast descent line which splits off from the red loop, joining up at the bottom of the hill with the black climb. The construction of this route has been funded by the North Yorkshire Aggregates Grant Scheme. Trail Waymarking: Red arrows on white square discs for descent, black arrows on white square discs for the climb.

 

How to get there:

The Descent Line can be started from Norwood Edge Car Park in Stainburn Forest. Beckwithshaw is the nearest town or village.

From the A59 take the B6451 towards Otley. Pass through Bland Hill and the car park is 2km further on your right.
