About Hunters Walk
The longest waymarked trail in Bury Ditches takes you through varied woodland including some oak and beech to the west. A short steep start takes you to the hill fort before the path meanders along forest roads, trails and rides.
This path has recently been re-routed to avoid sections which were becomming treacherous.
This trail is currently closed for public safety whilst harvesting takes place.
Harvesting work is moving on at Bury Ditches so we have had to close the trails which use the forest roads whilst timber is being moved around, and off site.
There is no access along the forest road for walkers or cyclists from the car park and everywhere is likely to be muddier than usual for a while - Sorry.
How to get there:
Hunters Walk can be started from Bury Ditches Hill Fort Car Park in Bury Ditches And Colstey Wood which is part of The Marches. Clun is the nearest town or village.
Located down a country lane between Clunton and Lydbury North, the woodland is signposted from the B4368 and B4385.
