Chieftains Walk (closed)

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Chieftains Walk

This walk involves a short sharp ascent to the crowning hill fort and superb view.

Harvesting work is moving on and we have had to close all the waymarked trails due to timber being felled and hauled along and close to the tracks.

Visitors can still visit the hillfort but will not be able to go further into the woods.

We hope the work will be completed by the end of May.

How to get there:

Chieftains Walk can be started from Bury Ditches Hill Fort Car Park in Bury Ditches And Colstey Wood which is part of The Marches. Clun is the nearest town or village.

Located down a country lane between Clunton and Lydbury North, the woodland is signposted from the B4368 and B4385.
