Ridge Ride Extreme

(Average user rating2 unrated 1.9/5)

About Ridge Ride Extreme

Accessed from the Ridge Ride Trail, this is an optional technical loop that is more demanding than the precious sections of the Ridge Ride Trail.

Expect routes, rocks, berms, drops and a step down.

Please note: There will be some disruption to the Ridge Ride Trail from 1st November for three weeks, while we carry out essential maintenance work.

We hope to keep disruption to a minimum, however it will involve sections of trail being closed. Diversions will be in place which will make use of the public highway. Please adhere to all diversions and safety signage on site.

Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions please call the Haldon Forest Park Rangers on 01392 834251.

How to get there:

Ridge Ride Extreme can be started from Haldon Gateway in Haldon Forest Park. Exeter is the nearest town or village.

Travelling by car turn off the A38 at Exeter Racecourse and follow the signs for Haldon Forest Park. The Haldon Gateway Car Park is signposted further along the road on the left.

Please don't use our postcode in your Sat Nav! It will take you to the Forestry Commission Office and not the Haldon Forest Park visitor car park. Instead, carry on past the first gateway you see ('Office entrance only' is painted on the road there) and 200 metres on you will see the main entrance.

I think the trail is pretty good comparing it to the red, the rock gardens are alright, actually the first half of downhill is nice but the berms nearing the bottom could be more fun, the climb back up is tiring but it's definatly not too hard to make you walk!

There is no longer a black it is red, the red trail is the easiest thing in the world. Jumps (x), burns (x) not really to be called burns. steep down hill (x)
