About Fernworthy Forest Trail

This moderate walking trail takes you through the forest passing prehistoric settlement sites along the way.

How to get there:

Fernworthy Forest Trail can be started from South West Lakes Trust Car Park in Fernworthy. Chagford and Dartmoor are the nearest towns or villages.

From Chagford, follow the road signposted Fernworthy Reservoir. Ignore the first forest entrance sign stating 'Fernworthy Forest' and cross over the cattle grid. Carry on for a further 200 metres before turning right into the car park and picnic site.
