About Shell Brook Trail

The loop starts and finishes on the Family Forest Trail short loop but provides the chance to experience off-road trails and to progress skills and fitness levels. Taking riders around the whole site and mixed woodlands, it may be rough and uneven and includes jumps, bumps and berms. Suitable for mountain bikes only.

Follow the blue arrows on waymarkers.

How to get there:

Shell Brook Trail can be started from Hicks Lodge Cycle Centre in Hicks Lodge which is part of The National Forest. Ashby de la Zouch is the nearest town or village.

From the A42, take junction 12 towards Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Turn left after the golf course just before

Ashby, then turn right on Willesley Woodside towards Moira. Look out for the entrance signs for Hicks Lodge.

have had a great time on this trail, despite a bird coming past me at a rate of knots, also reckon it should be renamed the hyena, have a look at a gpx track of the trail

Rode the trail with my girl friend recently.I am used to riding trickier trails however i still finished with a broad smile.Good work

Great trail for beginners, a red option would be a great addition or even just a little north shore or a rock garden
