Ladyclough Forest Walks (white trail)

(Average user rating3 unrated 3/5)

About Ladyclough Forest Walks (white trail)

Starting below the lay-by, the trail heads southwards along the river valley through open woodland affording excellent views of the open moor. The trail crosses into Urchin Clough and a bridge crosses the stream where a footpath leads to the Snake Inn. The trail leads back into the forest along the steam and climbs steeply back to the lay-by. Sensible foorwear is needed all year round

How to get there:

Ladyclough Forest Walks (white trail) can be started from Snake Pass A57 lay by in Ladyclough. Bamford is the nearest town or village.

Although there is no formal car park for the woodland there is a small lay-by on the eastern side of the A57 (Sheffield to Glossop road). This allows access to the trails which are located across the road in the western side of the wood.

Enjoyed the blue trail. Would definitely be a good idea to put a map of the 2 trails online as they are not shown on OS maps
