Ladyclough Forest Walks (Blue Trail)

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Ladyclough Forest Walks (Blue Trail)

Starting below the lay-by this circular trail heads northward along the river valley and up into the forest. Wet paths and stream crossings provide challenging terrain. A bridge crossing the stream marks the half way point followed by a steep climb up the valley side. The return trail is along a forest road with views across Lady Clough and the Woodlands Valley. Walking boots are essential all year round.

How to get there:

Ladyclough Forest Walks (Blue Trail) can be started from Snake Pass A57 lay by in Ladyclough. Bamford is the nearest town or village.

Although there is no formal car park for the woodland there is a small lay-by on the eastern side of the A57 (Sheffield to Glossop road). This allows access to the trails which are located across the road in the western side of the wood.
