Skill Beck Trail

About Skill Beck Trail

Skill Beck provides water to the Old Sawmill tearoom and Mirehouse. The trail climbs over 300 metres crossing the beck and following its course back to the car park. Excellent views of Bassenthwaite Lake and the surrounding fells can be seen along this trail.

How to get there:

Skill Beck Trail can be started from Dodd Wood Car Park in Dodd Wood. Keswick is the nearest town or village.

By Road:

From Keswick take the A591 towards Bothel. The forest entrance and car park are on the right opposite Mirehouse.

By Rail:

Nearest station Penrith.
