Gyfylchi Ridgetop Trail

This challenging walk crosses the River Afan in the bottom of the valley then climbs through woodlands of Larch, Pine and Spruce to an elevation of 1,000ft! The rewards are fine panoramic views of the valley. Before descending again the path crosses open hill farms to the ruins of the 18th Century Gyfylchi Chapel, once a shrine to Welsh Methodism.

How to get there:

Situated on the A4107 - follow the road from the M4, Junction 40 for about 6 miles. Look out for the signs for Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre.
