A fell race that starts on well marked tracks and paths and climbs up onto unmarked open fells. Full waterproof boidy cover, map, compass and whistle must be carried.

Tarren Hendre Fell Race starts at Registration in Railway Inn in Abergynolwyn which is part of Dyfi. , Tarren Hendre Fell Race starts at Race Start/Finish at Forest Entrance in Abergynolwyn which is part of Dyfi. Abergynolwyn, Tywyn, Machynlleth, and Dolgellau are the nearest towns or villages.

Take the B4405 for Tywyn off the A487. Go through the village of Abergynolwyn, continue for 500m, the forest entrance is on your left. From Tywyn take the B4405 road to Dolgellau, the forest entrance is 500m before the village of Abergynolwyn.
