Waterfall Walk

About Waterfall Walk

This is a short walk from the car park to the Waterfall via a steep sided gorge with numerous species of ferns, mosses and lichens clinging to its sides. The damp atmosphere creates a micro climate all of its own. After a few days of rain the waterfall is truly a spectacular sight and the visitor needs a full set of waterproofs if they are to keep dry. It is easy to see why Victorian visitors to the area, all those years ago, thought it was such a special place. This is a relatively easy walk but you are advised to wear sensible footwear, particularly in autumn, when the boardwalk areas can be slippery.

How to get there:

Waterfall Walk can be started from Warren Wood in Warren Wood which is part of Radnor. New Radnor, Kington, and Presteigne are the nearest towns or villages.

Situated on the A44 Kington to Llandrindod Wells road. Approx just over a mile after New Radnor turn right into a council Car Park (Brown tourist sign). Once inside the car park follow the Forestry Commission signage to the Forestry Commission car park.
