Tarw

About Tarw

Over the next few weeks contractors will be on MTB trails carrying out maintenance work. Please look out for 'men at work' signs on the single tracks and be prepared to dismount.

There will be a trail diversion in operation on the Tarw from 18th March until the Autumn due to felling work. The work will only affect a forest road section so there will be no loss of single track sections or changes to the length of the route. Please take note of all diversion signs.

A technically challenging ride with twisting rocky descents and forest road climbs. Tons of single track including the superb Pins and Needles. (Formerly the Red Bull).

How to get there:

Tarw can be started from Coed y Brenin Visitor Centre in Coed y Brenin. Dolgellau, Porthmadog, Bala, Barmouth, and Machynlleth are the nearest towns or villages.

East off the A470, 8 miles North of Dolgellau just North of Ganllwyd, South of Trawsfynydd. Follow the brown tourist signs.
